We are a group of friends who have a passion for real ale and are taking this passion to the next level by creating Little Marsden Brewery.

The story of Little Marsden Brewery started when Peter received a Homebrewing kit off his children for Fathers Day back in 2015.

​

This stayed in its box untill he became friends with Sean, one of the dads from his daughters school who also had passion for real ale.

​

In the summer of 2015, 12th July to be precise they started their first malt extract brew, Woodforde's Nog. This was to be a dark 4.5% ale to the liking of Peter but, as all things turn out the first time you try something new it was a bit of a disater. It turned out to be a little over 3.1% and didn't taste great... but because it was their first attempt they were'nt all that bothered so drank it anyway.

The next month Sean bought a Munton's Smugglers Special(Old Speckled Hen style) which was more to Seans liking. This turned out to be a success coming in at 4.7%, 0.3% less than expected and tasted as good as the mass produced ale it was styled on.

Since those early days of extract brewing and into 2017, Peter and Sean have ventured into the All-Grain relm.

First producing a 'Speckled Hen' clone and then a 'Old Peculier' clone. Both turned out perfectly and this is the start of a new chapter.

They have just ordered a new 'All-In-One' brewing system so watch this space.
